Pastasciutta Antifascista 2024 | Glasgow

An important part of the Italian community in Scotland lives in Glasgow, as do several ANPI members.

Another of the goals we have set ourselves is to try to make ANPI known outside of Edinburgh. We have therefore accepted the invitation of the Scottish section of the PD to organise an anti-fascist spaghetti party in Glasgow on August 25, 2024.

The sharing of forces and expenses allowed us to realise a beautiful day of work since the kitchen was in the hands of volunteer cooks of the ANPI and the hall managed by volunteers, with the presence of 100 adults and children, to whom among other things a space and recreational activities were dedicated.

In the afternoon, after an introduction by ANPI and thanks to the moderation of Laura Leuzzi, a meeting with the community took place, attended by the Hon. Toni Ricciardi and, remotely, Senator Andrea Crisanti and CGIE councilors Elena Remigi and Giannino D’Angelo, as well as Dimitri Scarlato from INCA in London.

At the same time, the little ones participated in a workshop by the artist Pablo Llopis based on collaboration and exchange as anti-fascist values to create a large collective painting.
